How the inauguration has evolved

The inauguration was very well done.  The patriotism, the fans, it had it all.  What honestly stuck out though was when the professor asked us to write how we felt about everything that was going on and was it really necessary due to the fact that all the president had to do was go up there and get sworn in.  This is a prime example of how America does anything, they want to make sure that they show all the positive effects that the event is having and how happy everyone there seems to be.  I remember them saying that the goal of the inauguration is for the president to transfer the power he has from one president to the other peacefully.  That is the reason that the United States are so powerful is because we are able to do this.
After I was able to get over how much extra stuff was going on I turned my attention to how the President’s children and wife were acting.  Because we were looking at this in a feminist view I started noticing that a lot has evolved since other inaugurations but what seems to be the same is the way the first lady sits at his side and is there taking care of the kids.  We are told that feminism is “the multi-disciplinary approach to sex and gender equality understood through social theories and political activism”.  I believe after watching the inauguration we are given a perfect example feminism.  The wives of the politicians are given a job, they are there to be the backbone to the men in rough times.  So yes a lot has evolved when it comes to the process of the inauguration but not everything is evolving.
