I'm Also a Straight, White, Upper-Middle class Male

Of course we don't live in a classless society.  The media absolutely puts ideas into our heads that focus our being on consumption, causing us to work into a system which uses and alienates us.  Berger speaks of a false conciseness where we believe hard work will solve our problems.  Berger states that this ideal is bolstered by the media's champions, national hero's who are shown to have gone from rags to riches through their hard work and ingenuity.  He believes that by playing into the system, we prolong its life and help it grow.
I disagree with Berger.  The only way to change the system is play into the system until one has the power to make a change.  Now as I have stated in the title of this post, I'm also a straight, white, upper-middle class male.  Everyday I am given so many tools to play into the system.  Time has shown that more and more people, other than white males, are being empowered to take hold of their own lives.  Is it how it should be yet?  Will there really ever actually be equal opportunity for all people?  Maybe this is a fictional Utopian world, but what I know is true is that so many people have constantly been working against class barriers for so long.  And at least from what I've studied in history class, it seems like a hell of a lot has happened in a hundred years.  It is the people who have worked hard that have made a difference for their people, and all people.
So maybe you disagree with me, saying that hard work only plunges us deeper into a divided society run by the elite.  So then, what else is there to do?  Revolution?  Lets work into the system so that we can control it and do good things for everyone in this country and around the world.
