To start off, a lot of television shows depict young women to be tan, have large breasts, and to always wear makeup. It is highly influential to young girls because that is what everyone is talking about, that is what people think is cool. People in general want to fit it, so that is why girls then try to take that image. They end up destroying their skin with fake tans, wearing too much makeup, and just not looking like themselves anymore. Then it just makes it harder for them to accept who they really are and their natural looks. Same thing goes for guys. This brand is cool and this one is not. So they also change their looks to fit in. People should start thinking for themselves rather than being a sheep in the herd.

Mass Media Marxism
I was in the group that talked about Marxism. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Marxist Analysis, by Arthur Asa Berger, because I agree with just about every point Marxism makes. The one that strikes me the most is the fact that everything in our lives today is shaped by the economic system of our society which, ultimately, affects the ideas that a person has. It bothers me that a lot of people in today's world just cannot think for themselves. Mass media does a really good job of persuading the public on how people should look, act, and think.
