Will Racism Ever Disappear?

  On Monday, we started off getting a sheet of paper titled "White Privilege " Some of the bullet points listed on there I had never thought of before. It makes it seem like the white race is the normal race; the more respected race. But in America, we try to address the fact that we're open to all other races. The idea is passed that everyone is equal. If we try to base our world on that, then why is racism still a big issue?

  To me, racism is being kept alive because everyone is still discussing it. We still make it a big deal even though it doesn't have to be. It would be easier for everyone if we just treated each other as equals. It also doesn't help that media today is creating bigger stereotypes for the different races. It creates bigger gaps in-between all of the races. Therefore, separating them even more. So, will racism ever disappear, or will media and people make it worse?
