The Kardashians quite honestly are a fascinating trend that
has occurred over the last 5 years. Their ability to take advantage of the
trend of reality TV and manipulate the interest of the common people is second
to none. I myself even find myself watching their television show and I could
care less about celebrity gossip. After learning about the three sub groups of
celebrities and the other pseudo celebrity categories the Kardashians continue
to pike my interest because they are very difficult to categorize. Why the U.S
so obsessed with them and what is what made them famous? I always ask myself
why I am so enthralled in this show. Frankly I hate most reality TV. Most
people cannot even answer the question why they care about these celebrities.
It is hard to tell whether we as viewers emulate their lifestyles or a
connection with these personalities are built. Now do not get me wrong I am not
saying that it is okay to be enthralled with celebrities, however it is very important
to see why we care about these people in the first place and how we allowed
them to be so recognized and famous.
