The People in The TV
When thinking about myself watching TV and all the shows that I have chosen to watch, it shows me what a huge influence these shows can be. Back when I was in high school I would watch TV shows such as Gossip Girls and 90210, I loved these shows BUT also loved the way they dressed and the dramatic lives they held. It did make me want to shop more and style my hair better as if I lived in Beverly Hills too, but I did not. I loved the high school drama and romance and it made me evaluate my own relationships. They knew exactly what audience they were writing for, and now that I hardly keep up with any shows am still aware of one called The Bad Girls Club. My sister is addicted to this show and does not miss one episode! These girls are horrible in every way as in they are constantly fight, have no self respect, and act and drink irresponsibly yet have many viewers. With these shows people get so addicted to these people’s lives that not only may they start dressing or acting like them but they now FOLLOW them on Twiter or Instagram. This not only allows viewers to see these celebs “acting” but also allows us to see into their very own personal lives. What this shows is that us people as viewers can not only be drawn in by the fake lives of these actors but we are even more mesmerized by their real lives, making us shop like them, follow fashion blogs similar to them, or even YouTube. TV again is a huge influence on not only me but others, I hope that there will still be room for individuality in our future years to come.
