Celebrity Rehab or Celebrity Deathbed?

       I recently heard that  Mindy McCready died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Her death quickly drew attention to the show Celebrity Rehab because she was the fifth person that died who was featured on the show. Viewers are starting to point fingers at Dr.Drew, the doctor and host of the show.Keep in mind that this shows features celebrities that are struggling with addiction and trying to recuperate. Dr.Drew feels guilty however, he doesn't believe that it is his fault because the celebrities weren't under his care when they died.

      Audiences are quick to blame Dr.Drew but they are not blaming the publicity that these celebrities are receiving when trying to surpass their addiction problems. Celebrities that appear on the show must earn bad publicity for their problems, so is any of that to blame? Dr. Drew believes that the show is raising awareness of addiction. However, if the show wanted to raise awareness why are celebrities the only people featured on the show? Why can't they have regular people on?
