The way we like to escape...

As our generation continues to expand we use media more and more to escape from our own lives. Pinning all the attention and focus on something other than our own lives. We watch shows that mainly focus on the white collar families. We find our escapes into these perfect lives of the middle/ white collar class families. These shows are popular for a reason. They appeal to many people in our society. We feel the need to escape into the show we are watching. This is why we don't like watching shows with blue collar work such and dirty jobs. Risk avoidance is something that has something to be said about in this example. They are not capable of trying to expand their ideas because the audience only wants a certain type of media/show to escape into. The viewers don't like to relate to blue collar shows because they want to escape that life/mindset. They want to be able to feel like they are living a good life.
