Entertainment and its Impact

The episode of the first season and episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians really got me thinking- why are they famous? Is it because they adequately contribute to today’s society which allows for the people to be entertained by them in some way? Obviously, they have got to contribute in some way if we keep on asking for more of them whether we like it or not. Try to imagine a life without celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Sophia Vergara, or anyone else people find entertaining. In other words- try to imagine a life without entertainment. It would be pretty boring and bland, correct?
I believe society today revolves around a shaping that has taken place in which we find ourselves entertained by the various episodes of celebrity wrongdoings or overall lives. If you think about it, if there were no celebrities, we would really have nothing to follow apart from world news or our own boring lives. That being said, celebrities like Kim Kardashian who have seemingly developed fame by her numerous scandals and body image so many find attractive, is a good example.
The overall Kardashian clan has taken over and the media just can’t get enough of them which is a sad, SAD reality. Media has really achieved us getting hooked on such celebrities (not just the Kardashians- every other celebrity as well) for their own sake and the overall sake of the world of entertainment because this world would be boring without it.
